The online tool allows users to save an area of interest, and reuse it at a later time. To use a saved AOI, click the AOI button on the toolbar and the saved AOI window opens. Select the desired saved AOI, and use and the AOI will be recreated.
To create a new saved AOI, first create an AOI either from predefined AOI, custom AOI polygon, or shapefile upload, and then click the AOI button. The saved AOI page is similar to the one that is seen before the AOI is created, but the use button is now a save button. Click the save button.
Enter a description for the AOI which will appear in the list of saved AOI, and then save.
The newly saved AOI now appears in the list of saved AOIs.
To download a shapefile it must first be saved. After it appears in the list of saved AOI, select it and click the download button and a download dialog will appear. If using Internet Explorer you will probably have to click through a security warning for downloading files.
